Owensboro BBQ Festival

Has anybody been to the Owensboro, Ky BBQ festival they have every year? It's usually in May. It looks like there aren't any campgrounds very close. Any recommendations on campgrounds in that area? I know it's not till May 2016, but I'm a early planner.

Ohio County, KY, has a campground, but that's about 30 miles outside of Owensboro.
