We're looking for some place to stay in the Punta Gunda area for 2-3 months in 2017, any suggestions? We're not looking for the 5 star places just clean and reasonably priced

Have weekended, as part of a local group gathering, in both Water's Edge and Alligator Park. Both good. Reasonably priced. I would assume that when you are looking at SW FL, snowbird parks, located in Gulf front cities, you understand what 'reasonable' means.

Try Water's Edge RV Resort. We drove through yesterday to check it out for some friends. There is a wait list for next year though. The folks there now have to commit by April 1st and then those on the wait list are notified.

The only negative that I see is that is close to the Punta Gorda Airport. The only airline that flies in to PG is Allegiant and they do not fly in daily.

We stayed at Carefree Shell Creek Resort the month of December last. Nice people, nice park, lovely pool. Away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to all we wanted to do. Ryan's bar and grill, great value for lunch. The little seafood place on the north side of the road is great. Skip the Italian place on the south side of the road, way too expensive for what you get, and very small inside.

What time of year. In the winter reasonably priced is an oxymoron.
