I prefer Scadden Wash due to its proximity to the big tent show and vendors south of the I-10, but it does get crowded the closer you get to town. The views from Dome Rock, however, seem to be the best with the boondocking spots spread out better than the other areas. Roadrunner doesn't seem to be used as much as the other areas and because of that I like it better than those north of the interstate. Never stayed at the LTVA, so I can't comment on that.
Plomosa :) Sure is quiet out there.
Scadden has the freeway noise. We stayed there two times, and I just couldn't deal with the constant hummmmmmmmmm gggrrrrrowllll (semi's) lol I was told that further back works, haven't tried that. Sure was awesome to be close to town though. Wish I wasn't so sensitive to noise.
