We stayed at OK RV Park when we stayed there last spring. It's a bit south of town, and off the main road. It was nice and quiet, the roads were gravel, but each site had a grass area with a picnic table, full hookups and no road noise from the highway. We were in a 40ft fiver and saw all kinds of rigs there, lots of room, easy in and out, friendly staff. We will stay there again next trip to Moab.
I'd like to thank you for the recommendation for OK RV park at Moab!!
We stayed a week, loved the place!.. Ethel the owner treats the place with loving care. The people are extremely friendly and the park is clean and very well kept.

Thanks,
Steve - LindaAnnExplorerSpanish Trail is where we stayed last year and we liked it--clean, FHU, nice views of La Sal Mountains. We used it as a base for day trips to Arches, Canyonland, Dead Horse State Park. Also, just north of town is a highway that runs along the river and has some really pretty scenery--it is also the highway that leads to Fisher Towers. There is a lodge along the way with a great free museum with lots of memorabilia about movies made in the area.
And just south of Spanish Trail is Hole in the Rock--worth a visit just because it's so unusual! - soosExplorer IIwe also stayed at OK RV Park. $35, full hook up. we explored Moab- Arches, Fishers Towers (best hike award) and Canyonlands.
- smcreaExplorer IICould I re-phrase the question slightly?
In Moab can anyone recommend an RV park that is centrally located so that we can use it as a base to explore all that Moab has to offer and has full hookup at a 'reasonable' price.
Apologies, I should never have used the word safe in my original post.. it de-railed the question somewhat :S
Thanks Again! - dkreuzenExplorerWe have stayed at Riverside Oasis, Moab Valley, Slickrock, Canyonlands, and Spanish Trails. Canyonlands is the closest to town but it is very tight, not big rig friendly. Moab Valley has security gates and does not allow visitors (at least not in 2004). Slickrock was very dirty and noisy. We stay at Spanish Trails the most as our group selects it as the headquarters.

- ss573ExplorerDW and I have stayed at Archview twice, several years apart and were pleased both times. The staff were very helpful and there is a view from the upper area overlooking Arches National Park.
It is a few miles north of Moab and close to Arches, Canyonlands NP, and Dead Horse Point SP.
Happy Camping :) - 4runnerguyExplorerThis is one of the most frequently asked questions on RV.net. If you do a search on Moab and/or Arches, you'll get hundreds of responses to this same question.

We have stayed at both the KOA and Spanish Trails RV Park in Moab. Not really a preference, but we we used Spanish Trails the second time we visited Moab. Can't comment on restrooms, as we use our onboard facilities. Don't know what you mean by "safe". Neither was run down or had permanent residents, if that's what you mean. Cost of a FHU back in site at Spanish Trails last year was $39.22.
Both campgrounds are on the south side of Moab, so there are other campgrounds that are closer to Arches and Canyonlands.
Thanks CloudDriver,
I think that you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned permanent residents.. :)
