Calisdad, we did pass by Dynamo Pond, but since this was Memorial Day weekend, there were large numbers of campers there -- we like to be completely alone! We live in a congested urban/suburban area near LA, so silence and peace are priceless.
And gbopp, it never got below 25 degrees, and that was only in the night -- otherwise it was in the 30s in the morning, rising to about 50 in the afternoon. That's not too cold -- a jacket and a hat and gloves, and we were very comfortable.
