Ruidoso, NM RV Parks

We're thinking about camping (full hookups) in the Ruidoso, NM area. We like to fish, hike, campfire, etc., but not really fish in a stocked lake in a campground where you're charged by the fish. More of an outdoor setting for us, like lakes or streams. Any recommendations? Thanks.
  • We liked Circle B in Ruidoso Downs - nice campground on the edge of the city

The have 100 FHU sites - Good Sam rate is $40

    X2. Owners were great.
  • Eagle Creek RV park in Alto NM, right outside Ruidoso. Rustic and no cell service but plenty of animals roaming thru the park. There is a small lake at the entrance to the park which has fish. We have seen bears, elk, deer, turkey, and what they say are wild horses in the park. Real quiet place.
