RV Parks in the Omaha Area

With all the flooding in the Omaha/Bellevue area, what RV parking areas are available? We usually stay in the Offutt Base Lake RV park, but that is under water.

GM
  • U might consider I29hwy34 campground. https://i29hwy34campground.com/
  • There are campgrounds west of Omaha on I-80, including a KOA. Just don't stay at Pine Grove RV park at Greenwood exit, the owner is terrible to deal with (read the reviews). Also, the Casino at I80/29 at 24th St exit in Council Bluffs has a cement CG. Lake Manawa SP (Council Bluffs) has a nice CG also. The hiway 34 CG at Glenwood is underwater unfortunately. Check for I80/I29 closures in the Omaha area, it is tough to come and go north and south due to MO river flooding.
  • Walnut Creek Park in Papillion is probably the best option for the moment. We stayed there in 2011 when Haworth Park was flooded and the Base Lake CG was closed.

  • I stayed a few days at Pine Grove with no issues. Level sites and convenient location.
  • Lynnmor, feel lucky you didn't run into Cathy the owner. Just Google search reviews on this place, she is a nut bag. I have never met an owner like her.

Walnut Creek is an excellent suggestion, we have stayed there many times. Very nice camp hosts and very clean.
