Key word here is "violent crime rate." Let's not sugar coat things for newcomers, there is crime in the Valley. To say otherwise is simply deceptive to those that take the time and spend the money to tour the area for a winter stay.
Can you drive thru a not so good park at night and feel safe, mostly. Can you park the same car, leave the windows down, and walk away with an item in the back or a GPS on the dash, wellllll......
Yes we have petty theft if you leave items of value accessible they may disappear. funny thing the same thing happens in our small northern Minnesota town. For some reason it has became a regular problem there.
