Santee St Park, SC Need site assistance

Going to reserve a few nights in the Lakeshore section; have only camped in Cypress section. Can anyone recommend any of these sites? Lots of openings as this will be in winter.

#88, 90, 100, 150.......any others. All say lakefront; just looking for a decent view + reasonable space. Some say moderate grade....wondering if I should bypass those sites.

Any advice appreciated!

I thought they shut the lake campground down during the winter? Not sure though?

After looking, perhaps this year they are closing the cypress side?

We remember #101 and #103 being about the same with the exception that #103 was lots easier to get into and out of. This was last March.

We managed to drive around the entire CG (not intentionally) and many sites were WAY unlevel. When they say grade they mean it.

Also when we were there the showerhouse didn't have hot water.

thanks John. sounds like that section is not as easy to park as cypress loop. i think u are saying that 103 would be more level.

We were in #101 in our 36' MH. It was fairly level; we used our jacks but you could easily level with boards. Site #100 was imho way unlevel while site #103 was even better than ours.

There are plenty of trees to squiggle past; if the guy on the site across the way hadn't left we would have been trapped by trees since we had to pull into his site to get lined up to back in.

Nothing is actually lakefront; you can see the lake through the trees.
