What are best Food Joints in Texas?
Heard that Blacks in Lockhart is great for Texas Bar-B-Que. what are other great spots for snowbirds to check out? Have to also checkout Tex-Mex? want to find as many great spots as we can.

If you are traveling I35, going through Hillsboro Texas a great place not too far off your path is Texas Great Country Café. It is located at the intersection of Hwy 22 (Bosque St) & Hwy 933 (Colorado St) in Whitney Texas, which is about 12 miles west of the interstate. The address is 903 S Bosque. They only have a small sign so watch for it on the southwest corner. From the outside the place looks very small so if the parking lot has a lot of cars in it don't let that scare you off, it is bigger than it looks. They have excellent home cooked meals with a huge menu to choose from and a variety of homemade pies & other desserts. I highly recommend this place for any meal if you are in the area. They are open from 6am-9pm. We ate at this place numerous times when we had to be in that area on business. Check it out.
