My son gets a college break the week of 10/21. I figure from here we'd have to head south in order to have warm weather. Since we're RV-less we'd have to book a hotel wherever we go. Looking at Ocean City, MD, Myrtle Beach or other suggestions anywhere in that area. Crazy as it sounds, we're willing to drive two days (400-500 miles/day) to get somewhere. Any suggestions? Anywhere west? Want to be in a place where at least some tourist attractions are open, which is why Myrtle Beach comes to mind. Thanks.
Take a look at making reservations at Cherry Hill just outside DC - October might be the best time to visit the area, not sure I know of anywhere that has so much that a young person would enjoy discovering. Museums and monuments like nowhere on earth.
If you need something not in a big City look at Williamsburg, Va -- Bush Gardens is as much entertainment as anywhere and if I recall is still wide open then on the other days you could explore the area.
Last and certainly not least NYC -- if you are RV-less this is a great time to explore and discover a Man-Made National Park -- we have walked for days and just never stopped staring at all the sights almost as unique as Yellowstone.
BOL,
