Who is going South this Winter?

i go to central fl. pleasant weather a little cool at night but away from the high cost of coast line and tourists traps.

We go to SW Florida. The weather is great and there's lot's to do. Good restaurants and good boating and fishing.

We head south from New England every fall for about 6 months. And to mix it up a bit, every 2 or 3 years we head for the southwest US.

Our style is moving around over the winter, rather than spending it all in one place. We have some favorite places that we re-visit most years, but we also enjoy visiting places that are new to us.

For the most part, we don't make reservations, although we will for the major holiday weeks.

From NY I would suggest south of I-4 in Fla. Might want to look at the winter forecast I posted in the Snowbird section which is where I would have posted this question.
The further from the coast the more likely you can get a month at a time... even this late in booking. Using google to search campground in a town will yield more results than any CG books. In the Orlando area I use Stage Stop
*Headed to WPB before Christmas this winter and back home in April.

We'll be staying in Pennsylvania and freezing, again. :(

We are already here (Rockport, TX)! And the Winter Texans are slowly trickling in already! This is the earliest we have been here (normally arrive in Dec.). They are arriving earlier than normal to enjoy some beach time while it is still warm, which it is. Upper to mid 80's. Some will be flying home for the holidays and then returning.

Casa Grande, AZ for the weather. No rain, lots of sun and mild temps in a resort type RV park with plenty of activities. Dances every Friday, Pickleball, two heated pools, convenient location but most important NO DARN SNOW

I'm still only 35 and work, so we can't go the whole winter... We take about 2 weeks and head out of Maryland in February, which is usually the coldest and snowiest month. We usually hit Florida for 7-10 days. This year we are doing 8 days on the Gulf Coast between Tampa and Sarasota, and 4 days in St. Augustine on the ocean side. We hit Savannah on the way down and Charleston on the way back up to round out a 14-16 day trip.

We will be spending our second winter in Indio, CA. Great place with great weather. So much to do and see in this part of the country.
