note color codes vary by rv manufacturer - AtleeExplorer IIIs your current thermostat a Dometic branded thermostat? If so, I would replace it with a digital Dometic thermostat. There should be a straight wire for wire switch.
It was for my Coleman thermostat.old guy wrote:
My son in law and I have the same domectic thermostat for our AC/ heater and it is analog. we are thinking of going electronic or digital. what do you all recommend for the replacement? - downtheroadExplorerI went with one of these...comes in white or black. Straight swap from the analog.
Call rvupgrades with your furnace and A/C info and they can get you the correct model for a wire to wire swap...
Works great. About a 1 degree swing for cycling. Also controls fan speed (hi or low)

- donn0128Explorer IIAs long as what you want to replace is not one of those cruddy priporatory things, then any self power thermostat should work well. I used a battery powered Hunter Douglas with great results. 25 dollars from WalMart. Much better that the wild swing one that came, from the mfg.
- I went with the Dometic single zone Comfort Touch. Has worked very well for us.
