Coat hooks

Would like to mount some coat hooks or a wood strip with some hooks on the wall just inside the entry door. What would be the best way to attach them to the wall? Not sure if wood screws would hold, seems like the walls are only about 1/8th inch thick.

We use the 3M Command Hooks for coats. They've been up for 3 or 4 years without any problems. On our trip last week we were hanging wet towels on them because it was too windy outside and we thought the towels would blow away.
