Range Hood vent mod?

Question

A few year ago there was a post on here about somebody hooking a rod up the the outside damper on their range hood so they could open or close it from the inside. I have searched but can't seem to find it now. Does anybody recall it or have any pictures of it. My damper is pretty high on the coach and I always forget to latch it and I have lost my second one now.

One of our past mh's had a range hood that had a damper that the pressure from the exhaust fan opened it. Wind and/or driving caused it to flop opened and closed with a thumping sound. I added a manual slide to hold it closed when not in use.
