Rear Camera ?

I have a strange question about the rear camera on my mh. The fact that the picture displayed on the dash monitor is in reverse. It shows the cars that are passing on my drivers side to appear to be on the passenger side. For some strange reason this continues to irritate me. I'm wondering is there anything that can be done to change the orientation of the picture on the monitor to show the cars passing me on the left, on the left side of the monitor? I don't know the brand of camera but the display is a Jenson combination unit with radio,cd,and can handle 3 camera inputs. Any thoughts on this other than I'm nuts. LOL

I had a car suddenly switch lanes to be in front of me, slam on HER brakes to do a u-turn and I almost slammed into her car, and ever since then I have had cameras fed to a DVR facing forward, backwards and on each side of my truck.

Views are for when the camera is facing forward or backward. ๐Ÿ™‚

thanks for all the replies.... I found the model number on the display unit and then found the manual online and figure it out how to get into the camera settings and there is indeed a mirror display option which was de-selected I selected that and now the display shows the correct perspective

The Voyager camera I used to have used a magnet to change the view of the camera. The Rear View Safety system I had on my 2005 F-250 was switchable.

I would not use that camera when the image is reversed as it would be a safety issue. There has to be an option to switch that.

Usually the on screen interface allows the option to be changed...

My display has a slide switch on the back that changes the orientation. As others indicate it could be a menu option or a hidden switch. Perhaps it is in the selection of which of the three imputs the cable is plugged?

I can also reverse the image on my camera. Check the menu options.

Sounds like your camera might not be a dedicated vehicle, rear view camera.

I bought a camera that was designed to screw onto your license plate frame. It shows correct left/right, so I think it is really a function of the camera, not the display.

Different brands use different methods, so there may be a switch on the camera, on the monitor, or like mine, an onscreen menu entry that selects the "direct" or "mirror" view or similar wording.
