Replacing dinning tables and chairs

Has any one replaced tables and chairs with a Dinnette? I am thinking about doing this. Was thinking about making the Dinnette. Does any one have any plans for the benches as well as the table?

Dan
  • I just took out my table and chairs and replaced them with base cabinets and countertop. I've tripled our storage and counter space!
we're comfortable eating in our recliners with a coffee table, but I think i'll get one of those nesting table and chair sets just in case we need a table and four chairs at a later date.
table and chairs are for sale on craigslist in texas.
  • Hey Bumpy if it was the west coast they would never have to leave CA to make the swap! :B Just saying!
  • Joe do you have pix of breakfast bar? I'm getting rid of my booth and bar sounds interesting.
  • We took out our table and chairs and replaced with a "breakfast bar" and two leather office type chairs with rollers. Only seats two people but that's all we ever have. Way more room and rollers work way better on carpeting getting in and out. We made our "bar" out of an old desk. Looks great!
  • Cuffs I May be interested in swapping. What do you have. Can you take measurements and send pictures if you are serious. I will do the same.

I will be in Tennessee in September.

If you want to purchase a premade one you might look here. If you want to make it yourself here is someone who posted how he made his own.
  • Tool, it might be better for me to type before I drink! It appears were going in opposite directions. Wanna swap?!
  • Tool, I'm looking at that option also. I really find my dinnette too big and not user friendly. If you come up with something please post.
  • search around for somebody wanting to go the other direction. that seems to happen with regularity.
