Replacing floor of water compartment. What's best to use?
Just in from removing the floor of my water compartment. Much water rotted wood under the plastic flooring and the metal outer lining was well worn around the edges.
Now I am contemplating what to use in replacing the 20" x 55" piece of wood that it came from the factory with. I want something where I will not have to be doing this job again in six years. Waterproof if possible.
Wondering if some very heavy thick plastic, fiberglass or sheet of aluminum would work? It just has to have holes for the incoming water, sewer swivel hose holder and overflow hose. I was also thinking a few vent/drainage holes for when I wash it out would be nice to add.
Information from others who have had to do this would be greatly appreciated, as well as suggestions.
Thanks
