Replacing Touch Audio DVD/radio

Has anyone replaced their Touch Audio DVD/radio? Our year-old travel trailer has already had a new Touch Audio put in once and it is broken again as of this weekend (the touch screen doesn't work so we can't press any buttons or even power it on).

From what I've been able to find online, some people have had luck replacing it with the Jensen AWM965. DH would love to replace it with something with Blu-Ray, but I'm not sure that wall mounted options exist.

I am not trying to rob the thread but I do have a question about the DVD player location. I have a DVD player connected to an exterior TV. The location of the player severly hampers getting stuff into and out of a basement storage bin. Can a DVD player be mounted sideways?

It is currently mounted to the top od the storage bin, I would like to move it to the side and "stand it up". Would it still work? I doubt seriously if I every use the thing but I dont want to disconnect it forever.

Thanks in advance,

.Short answer is no, most disc players won't function except in a horizontal attitude. Pioneer does make a vertical player and there are a few others. I don't think you want to pay the price. it's 10x what you'll pay for a new blu-ray player.

If the machine is in your way, you can always lengthen the cables and put it anywhere you wish. You could also just leave the cabling in place and move the player, storing it somewhere else until needed.

It is always wise to do some research, get information on installing a car DVD player and then make a plan before going anywhere near a toolbox. Go online to see what tips you can find there.

Would need to unplug from shore power to take the conv out of the picture then cut off the batt.

+1 on that /\....My Jayco has the Jensen 975 unit in it. Put a CD in and the sound of the motor running overpowers the quieter music moments. Jayco is making it tough to get a replacement. Out it goes. Will use a Sony, or Alpine as a replacement.

We have the 975 in our 5'er. I feel for you with the Touch Audio. We had one in our previous TT and it was junk. Never would shut off and the DVD/CD part quit working.
We've only had the Jensen 975 for about 10 months, but have used it for 50+ nights. It's not BluRay but the pic with the 32" tv is darn good. I thought about getting a cheap BluRay player but not sure how to make it work with the 975.
