Solar

I am thinking about putting one 100w panel to maintain the batteries on my FW,it has the refer in a slide so that is not a option what is the best way to run the wires down to the basement? I thought about going down beside the plumbing vent hole (not the vent I am not that stupid) but that is about the middle of the FW. Thanks for the help as always.
  • Actually, somewhere on here is a post from someone who did run their solar wires down the sewer vent, drilled a hole down low, fished them out, sealed the hole. Never say never.

    Bill
  • That's a brand new trailer. Are there wires up there already?

Thats what I did. Fished it down the vent to our bathromm sink, drilled a hole in the pipe (on top) that went to the sink, pulled the wires out and sealed up the hole. There was already enough of a gap under the sink where the water lines came in that I could fish the wires down to the basement.

I didnt see a problem with running down the vent. And I also have Crusader

Not that I know of, nothing states solar ready
  • Why not use the fridge vent? There are already 120v & 12v wires connected to the slide.

Otherwise you need to use an existing hole, make a new hole or run down the exterior.
Personal choice on how it will look. Function is about the same.

The fridge vent is on the side of the slide.
