Tissue Holder Brake

You guys are suggesting one of my ultimate pet peeves! I won't even buy TP if the rolls aren't nice and round. No ovals or flats for me. :(

I would have to opt for one of those gravity or tension solutions. Anal or OCD maybe, dunno. Drives my wife crazy sometimes. :)

Works for paper towel rolls too.

Had a problem like that with paper towels - quick fix 15 yrs ago was a small fishing weight and a piece of shoelace to hang down over roll. Still using the same shoelace and weight (gets washed once in a while...) Noticed that the paper towels and toilet paper are more squished now so might not really need it.

In 10+ years of RVing, I don't think we've ever had that problem.

+2 Smash the roll so the inner tube is oval instead of round.

Never had to squeeze the roll to get it out of round, they're always squished when the come out of the package.

I don't have the issue because of the style of the holder, the roll is always against the wall:


I did have a similar issue with a paper towel holder, now we use a clothespin to clamp the loose end to the roll (pin on the side, just poke a finger 1/2" back to make room).
