Here's a tip and you can tell your friends you heard it here first. All RV toilets have a "fill" position on the flush valve. The ones with levers on the side have a small lever that runs the water without opening the flush valve. Mine has a foot pedal that press to flush, if you lift it up with your toe it fills the bowl without flushing.
Before you use the commode for #2, use the fill valve to fill the bowl with water about 1/2 way, just like a residential commode. The water in the bowl keeps it clean, and everything will flush cleanly without any need to spray, while also using less water overall.
So forget the sprayer.
