I want to relocate My TV to a cabinet in the slideout of my motorhome. I am looking for a lift mount for a 39 inch TV. I can build the cabinet. Anybody know of a source?

While electric fireplaces offer convenience and safety, they often lack the authenticity and ambiance of traditional wood-burning or gas models. Many people choose electric fireplaces for their ease of use, lack of mess, and lower maintenance. However, some users feel that the absence of real flames, the inability to produce the same level of warmth, and the somewhat "artificial" look of many models make them less satisfying.

The Question:
Do electric fireplaces genuinely provide the cozy, warm atmosphere we’re looking for, or are they more of a visual gimmick? Are they worth the trade-off in terms of warmth and ambiance? Or do they simply serve as a temporary solution when a real fireplace isn’t feasible?

I’d love to hear your experiences or opinions—do you find electric fireplaces a good alternative, or do you miss the real deal? What has been your experience with their warmth and aesthetics?

this has nothing to do with the original post, and is also 9 years after the fact, while it is a good topic for discussion.  maybe you should repost this question in a different section of the forum sucha as technology..  might generate some good discussion.

Not sure what you comment/question here has to do with the original discussion.

When we got our TT my thought was the electric fireplace was a gimic. No, it doesn't look like a real fire. However, it is the primary source of heat for our TT and works very well. We like it cool when we sleep and in reality I would like the fireplace to go a little cooler than it does, lowest setting is 65. The only time we use gas is the initial warm up in the morning.

Touchstone makes TV lift mechanisms.. I haven't tried one, but have always thought they were neat.

Photos of your project would be appreciated.

Do you mean.... up/down from being hidden inside a floor mounted cabinet?

Or do you mean overhead swing down ... lift up ?

We need clarification, we can't see the picture in your head of what you are thinking of doing

Assuming you're talking about a modern flat-panel TV, the mounts are standardized and there are hundreds or thousands of different mounting brackets available of all sorts of styles and descriptions. Amazon, and NewEgg are two places among many to search.
