I did my Stick and Brick with a floating/interlocking edge laminate floor and for only a couple of short edge separations, I love it. However, I did not want to break out the compound miter saw, table saw, and other wood working tools so I got the Allure with the adhesive edges. YES, I have some short edge separtions, especially in cold weather. But it was easy to cut with a utility knive and install (under the slides!). It is great to keep clean. The dogs don't like it as much. They cant get traction to jump onto the couch. Wearing just socks could be dangerous but those would be the same issues with hardboard laminate or vinyl laminate. Go For It.
