Winegard Portable Satellite not working

Which Winegard, specifically, do you have. Last year I bought the GM-1518 Carryout. This is the unit that looks like a small igloo. I have used it several times, and have tried to use it several more. As long as there is little to no tree canopy it works fine. I used it in Utah(Bryce Canyon, Escalante NM, and Sedona AZ with great success. I tried it at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon...no dice, just to much tree canopy. I am now looking for a standard definition Direct TV dish to add to my stash as I think (hope being able to "aim" the dish might get results where the "igloo" won't. There was a guy right next to me at the North Rim who had one of the Winegard "suitcase models" essentially a standard type dish in a carrying case. He sat it on top of his TT and after about 20 minutes of fiddling got a signal.

Also, I wonder if CW has stopped carrying the "1518 carryout" as I tried to find it on the website last weekend and did not see a listing for it.
