Condition is as new!!
The retired Army officer owner was super anal about upkeep and maintenance, logs,
cleaning, upgrades {tires, batteries, electronics}
The rugs don't even have wear marks!
Now that you mention it we purchased ours from a retired Air Force jet mechanic. I think it was probably better than buying a new one and all the extras were a bonus. My recommendation is to look for a retired military officer selling a fiver. - babunExplorerI'm a noobie, and just bought a 2003 Keystone Cougar 276 {29 ft}.

Condition and upkeep seems to make the difference more in RV's than any other thing on the roads. - BugsRLBExplorerThanx for the replies. Understaned condition, condition condition!
We have purchased 2 TC's and we have seen a lot of trash that people think is GOLD! We are going to hold off and do a lot of looking before we jump from the TC. Once we make up our mind we'll sell the TC and move on. - fla-gypsyExplorerCondition, condition, condition.
- C7XR7ExplorerWe have 2003 Keystone Challenger 5th wheel. I think the answer to your question may be impacted mostly by the care that was given to the trailer you are looking at. We were fortunate to find one that was very well cared for and probably not used but a couple of times at that. If has been rode hard and put up wet then it may be a source of many issues.
So far we've had no issues with function or structure with the exception of having to repair a few frayed running light wires.
