You won’t be sorry! A buddy had a connector he added to his Marinco to reduce the weight when connected. Rain got in creating an arc that welded the two together. This was just before I converted our rig to 50 amp so my decision was easy.

Only sounds expensive until you price out what the replacement cost is on the OEM Furrion parts that most RV manufacturers use, that are garbage. Furrion is a partner of Lippert...Imagine that.

On a side note the first thing I would do is pull the wall connector loose and check the wiring on a new trailer. On our 17 Rockwood those connections were loose and arcing. Found it 3 days after the purchase. On the other end at the AC breakers those connections were so tight the heads of the lugs were stripped out, and the copper conductors were smashed to the point if you moved then they snapped off. Had to replace every breaker.

Thanks for reporting back. Too often this does not happen.

It ended up being one of the prongs was slightly bent. Once bent back we were able to hook up again.

Check out the Smart Plug at www.smartplug.com. I installed one on mine two years ago, it has worked flawlessly and with a much stronger feel that the old twist lock style.

a little corrosion on the metal surfaces causing the plug to bind? Fine sandpaper or steel wool then WD-40 or dielectric grease might do the trick.

Keep trying. It worked once, it will work again. Ask the guy/gal next door to show you.
