5th wheel cover

Where we live get alot of wind a CW cover lasts less than a year here & causes damage to the trailer ......Tried many different brands of covers the only one I can recommend are metal carport type well anchored or a building.........

Windy areas are not good for cover use..........

I have balance issues and don't do such things these days. I'll just have to move farther South.

Fold it into thirds and roll up back to front. Grab onto the front section and climb the ladder, allowing the cover to unroll on the ground. Drag cover to front, across the middle of the trailer,.then drop each side down. You'll of course need to make a few adjustments, but it works pretty well. Need to make sure its oriented correctly so that its not upside down when you get on top. To remove, I've found the easiest to be simply pull one side up to the top and drop it over the other side. Orient correctly, fold into thirds, roll up tightly (back to front) and store in a large garbage can. Mine included a dvd with essentially this information.

To OP: wind its your enemy, with this or any cover, and may even damage your unit. My location is very protected from wind, and is no doubt why my cover has lasted so long.

We have gone through three Adco Tyvek covers in 7 years. Finally bought a http://www.calmarkcovers.com We've had it over 5 years and it still looks brand new, fits perfect and no tears. We also get very little wind or rain where we live, might make a big difference.

Like you I'm from Canada and bought an Adco cover while in US. They work OK, provide excellent protection and unlike other covers, they wont damage the RV.

The problem I have is the following. They do not last (at least not here, the is my 2nd one after 3 years) and when you have them installed, it is almost impossible to remove snow from the roof during winter without damaging it.

But... I think they are worth it if you do not have to remove snow during winter season. I found a windy spot where I do not get much accumulation.

I dont remove the snow at any points so that shouldnt be a problem. We got so many Chinooks here , that takes car of the snow ever month or so.

I've seen Adco covers in a couple of Camping World stores. BTW, Good Sam and Camping World are now one (merge or buy - not sure of financial or legal arrangements?). Good Sam also has merged or bought Trailer Life magazine and are merging their Highways mag with Trailer Life. I saw in the newspaper today that GS has bought the domain for RV.Net too. Won't be long and they'll own all of RVing .

Yhea just found out they have a sales tax, for some reason i thought they didnt.

The flood here is terrbile, lucky i am on high ground, but worse thing i have ever seen in my life.

If you are heading south and want to save sales tax, you will have to wait until you get to Oregon. Seattle is in WA, and they do have sales tax. There are 3 or 4 CW in Portland area.
