- CopperlisaExplorerIn Idaho, once you buy the plates for your RV, you buy a recreational sticker each year ($13.00) and a registration sticker. CAMP TRAILERS, TENT TRAILERS, AND FIFTH WHEELS are required to pay $4.00 registration fees along with recreational vehicle fees. RV fees for these types of vehicles are based on 100% of market value. The RV fees are $8.50 for first $1,000 of market value, plus $5.00 for each additional $1,000 of market value. Vehicle Registration is never more than $48.00.

We paid our first year a couple of months ago, and was a bit over $3,000, and that included a little overpayment refund for sales tax at the Dealer, and 11 months credit for registration on the last rig. Next year it could actually be higher. Oh well, it is what it is.
Sorry but that attitude is why Government gets away with these insane taxes.
On second thought, don't call me, I'll call you...
We did fight the State of Washington and passed the $30 license plate initiative. So enjoy your high cost tabs.
Wow, sure nice how a civil discussion get's personal. - Atom_AntExplorer

Ten year tag for a trailer licence plate is $45. Doesn't matter if it is a 40' fifth wheel or a small single axle flat deck trailer ... all trailers included.
Single year take is $15 so that is a no-brainer.
Plus no need for separate road insurance ... tow vehicle's insurance covers any trailer being pulled, all as one vehicle. - ford_coupeExplorertravelnutz-leave it to snyder to change that.

Another reason why we love Michigan as all non-motorized trailers or RV's with wheels have a ONE TIME registration/license fee charge good for as long as you own it. The fee amount is according to the dry unloaded axle RV title weight. $75 for up to 2499 lbs, $200 for 2500 lbs to 9,999 lbs and $300 for over 10,000 lbs. Sales tax is 6% of purchase price on the bill of sale and $15 one time title fee if applicable. No other taxes, personal property taxes, or charges/fees ever! Super cheap!
Very true but Michigan has one of the highest gas prices in the nation($3.699 this morning here),tags for my 2012 F250 = $235/year and if you get off the highway you stand a good chance of getting on to a road that changes to gravel with no warning - Cummins12V98Explorer III
