Looks like it has a max loaded weight or GVW of 10K.
A 10K trailer will have a 2K pin weight.

That's a nice looking rig! Reminds me of a guy on my block, that towed similar, with a F250 V-10. It used lots of fuel, so he traded for an Eco-boost. That's right 1/2 ton Eco, with max tow. After towing his 35' Jayco FW, with walk-in closet in bedroom, two slides, and double axle boat behind that, he said the salesman lied. His towing mileage was even worse with the V-6. The dry weight listed on the RV in my picture was a little owner 11k with a dry pin of 22xx. I believe the OP's truck will handle what he's looking at just fine.

I passed a 3/4 ton towing a 30ft? pumper pull on the interstate a couple of times yesterday. I was loafing along at just over 65 and he was making 55. The truck's rear suspension was on the bump stops and the rear of the trailer was swaying.

Because I passed him twice, I know he made it at least 100 miles.

Larry, In my opinion, no. Others may differ. Oh by the way, I have the same truck. Just ordered a new 3500 SRW Friday.

I have the same truck in '03 model. Its a quad cab short bed Dodge/Cummins 3.73 gear and NV5600 tranny .....a 6000 lb RAWR>.
With a 13350 lb tow rating.
This trucks rear axle weighs 2840 lb leaving it with a 3160 lb max payload in the bed.
My 5th wheel RV trailer weighs 11200-11400 depending on how its loaded. This trailers scaled pin weight varies from 2200 range-2400 lb range or around 20 percent.
Actual scaled rear axle weights run in the 5300-5500 lb range all depending on stuff we pack.

The '04 2500 Dodge/Cummins tow ratings for a 5th wheel/GN trailers start in the 12k range and up. Are you looking at bumper pull tow weights ??

An 04 Dodge 2500 should be fine with a 10k gross 5W, hook up, and go to a cat scale to get the real numbers.

Manufacturers lie about tongue weight and pin weight to fool people who would otherwise not buy their product. If they can make that number low enough more people will think like you that they can tow that trailer.
