Anyone have a FR Wolf Pack 20PACK10?

We have been looking at Toy Haulers for a while now, and I have come across the Wolf Pack 20pack10. We've seen it online a couple times and found one for sale just a few hours away. Next week we plan to take a trip down to check it out in person. We really love the fact that we can put our ATV outside on the deck instead of inside since it can get pretty muddy. We also love the layout of it.

My question is, why can't I find many of these? There's maybe like 5 for sale across the country right now. And I can't find any other brand or model that is similar to this design. Is it just that most people hate this design? Does anyone on here have one?

Some things we love:
built in generator hookup
solar panel hook up
on-board large fuel tank
real and comfy couch
king size bed
ATV sits outside

  • I know kz makes them as well, check out the mxt crc 170 and crc 210ks. I went from a 2012 Dutchman rubicon to a mxt 2920 and love it, I also saw one of these at an atv park recently, was cool.
  • Nobody else? :(

BTW - we will be towing this with a 2002 Suburban 2500 with the 8.1L V8 and 3.73 rear end. It also has the Autoride rear leveling system, so I don't see tongue weight being an issue for us. Towing capacity is 10,300 lbs, also have a weighted plate for NC at 17,000 lbs GCWR (which is what the burb is rated at).
  • Thanks! Right now I have a 24 foot 10k trailer that I use for hauling things around, including my ATV (it looks pretty funny having a little 600 lb ATV on a trailer that weighs 3000 lbs). So I am pretty used to hauling it on an open deck.
  • Welcome to RV.net!

There are a couple things that seem to keep these from being real popular; the exposed deck and the rear slide out bed.

It seems like the rear slide outs have stuck around but never really taken off. We had an Outback that we liked a lot. But in cool weather the rear bed could be a bit chilly and I personally hated crawling into be usually over my wife. That said you got more camper in a shorter length.

The front deck models seem have have never taken off. Saw them on pop up's a lot. Part of the reason might be they tend to put a lot of weight on the hitch. Keep in mind that toy haulers are never light weight so make sure you have a truck that can handle the trailer and toys plus all the stuff you take camping. If you are taking just one ATV you should be fine, but play with the placement so you get the proper weight on the hitch without overloading it.

Having hauled our ATVs on a open deck trailer I personally recommend dropping a few bucks and buying the trucker style 2" straps.
