bit by the schwintek snake, voltage 3600

went out to loadup and go camping and this happened, evidently it jumped the track at the top, basically grenaded itself when i tried to retract the slide. now i cant even move the slide and waiting on a mobile tech to hopefully get it fixed. cant imagine if this had happened in a campground or somewhere when i got ready to leave

any idea what caused it to do this? we still havent even camped in this thing and i starting wish i would have kept my fuzion

  • The windows are closed, correct? You need to put the shades up to verify the windows are closed prior to pulling the slides in.
These slides really only work right if the trailer is parked and leveled. If its trying to push the slide uphill, its gonna struggle. The other thing, is the tracks need to be kept clean (think wash the slides while they are out) and lubed with silicon spray lube. Try no to carry extra stuff in the slide. It just weighs it down and makes it too difficult for the little motors to move.
  • Had problem with ours. DH set slide on manual mode, cycled to get it straght and back to auto mode. Hoping this solved the peoblem for the future. He downloaded the Schwintec info from the internet. Hope you are reset quickly.
  • Oh wow, that is freaky. Yes, please post how this turns out. Our bedroom slide quit third trip out, 1000 miles from home, but it was a smaller slide and not crooked like yours. Good luck, hope they get you back camping real soon.
  • Please keep us posted on what the mobile service person finds? So sorry
