Brake controller

Well I found a new in the box P3 for $80.00.

I to used a Prodigy for years, wanted a BrakeSmart when they came out, but the price put me off. Then one and a half years ago, I bought a MaxBrake and all I can tell you is WOW and that it is completely different towing now!!!

I Had Tekonsha Voyager for 15 years. The last 4 years have been Tekonsha P-3 .It is well worth the money and we love it.

With IBCs coming in most new truck the market for a really good add on controller is on the decline. MaxBrake was the last of the brake line tapped units. It is a really good controller like the BrakeSmart was. Direclink is the only high end controller currently available, that gets data or signals directly from the tow vehicle. ALL others that require the TV to do something first or have boost settings are a compromise. Chris

Curt triplex is what I have, prodigy and tekonsha are both nice and probably better units.

The prodigy p3 is really good. We used it until we had a factory integrated brAke controller. The factory brake controllers are by far the best but the p3 is definitely close behind. Also when we had an issue with ours, a new one was mailed to us immediately with a SASE to return the defective one.

Prodigy P3 for me... only one I've ever owned so can't compare it to anything else. But it couldn't be simpler to use. Non-critical mounting angle, easy to setup, nice easy to read and understand display. You won't be sorry going with this one (at least not in my opinion, anyway...)

What brake controller do you have now? I use a Tekonsha Voyager and have had nothing but flawless performance for years. That is, once I actually learned how to use it. :)
