Camper Cover

Wow! That is a long time in storage. Not sure how the custom covers intended for short term storage will hold up.

Your biggest enemy is chafe. An RV has lots of sharp things on the roof & corners. Chafe will damage a cover of lessor quality & the RV too if not covered properly.

I have stored boats, also with lots of corners & sharp objects, for many years. First of all cover those things/areas where the cover will rub.I used multi folded terry towel taped over the corner/sharp object for a much softer turn.

Next is the cover material. For that length of time I would get the best, most durable material to be found. I am thinking along the lines of the covers truckers use. Expensive I am sure, but something you buy once & it will last.

I appreciate everyone’s reply and feedback. Hopefully I’ll have some feedback within a year or two on how the one I pick holds up.

Although the Adco worked well, never did like the fit , I too used it for a 38' , and it was for 38-41 . So it has to fit up to 41 ', so had a bit to deal with at the back end of the fifth wheel . I would still get one again . Have always wondered if I had got the one size down it would of fit better .

The ADCO cover we are using on our 38' 5Ver fits very well, and has held up great.....considering it is now 13 years old....now, it was used first year on our 2009, then we stored it away....until we put it on the first year with our 2019.....it was always big on our 34-ft 5ver (which is why we stored it), but fits very nicely on current trailer - doesn't flap to much in the wind. It also has alot of straps to keep it snug and zippers so that we can still get inside or open storage doors.

schlep1967, go back and take a closer look at their home page, they not only make car/truck covers but jet ski, motor cycle/scooter, golf carts, and others to include RV covers.

I've had two ADCO's, and they did a good job.

or search this Forum for `RV cover'. Lots of suggestions including mine that recommends a Sunshield tarp. EZ on and EZ off and does not hold in moisture that can create mold/mildew.

Try National RV Covers. Last longer than the warranty. Use extra “all the way around” straps every five feet however. HF has inexpensive straps.
