Converting my dully to a 10 wheel drive to handle Toyhauler

I have gone where most will no go. I am in the process of adding a 2nd drive axle. I am doing the work myself. As you can tell from the pics. I have came a long ways. I just have the bed work to finish the project. I will be extending the bed & dully fenders to have a full bed. Let me know what you think.



















The reason I am doing this is to handle the toy hauler better on the road.

Even though tandeming the truck is not how I would have gone about increasing the trailer towing or hitch weight hauling ability of the truck, it is an interesting and fun project none-the-less that I will follow as it progresses here on the forum. I lend my support to the idea. 🙂

that is a huge project to take on, great work, gonna be bad azz when its done!

for sure it is orginal, and the best parts is that YOU did it.

You could have just went out and bought a semi or something, but nope, you built something.........pretty awesome man!

This is awesome Securiti, I applaud you for taking it on. You might consider an Atlas 3 transfer case as they are darn near indestructible. Price might be an issue. We run one in our Cummins YJ rockcrawler.

looks good. i remember when the dodge T-rex concept came out i t was pretty sweet IMO. i know some have made their own versions of it and have used the Rockwell 2.5Ton axles. keep up the good work

Part time operation unless you need the traction is a good idea. IIRC there were some Fords back in the 70's with a divorce mounted full time transfer case. NP203? If so a 203 may or may not be up to what that Cummins will send to it.
