I highly advise looking for a RAM 3500 with AISIN Medium Duty Transmission and factory rear air ride!

GM Dumped the problematic CP4 pump and went with Denso recently since they had so many warranty claims. Ford still uses this pump. Cummins uses the CP3 injection pump that is VERY trouble free.

1) Find another dealer, if possible.
2) Why limit your search to only 500 miles? If there's a truck =any= distance from you, have the dealer bring it in...at THEIR expense...on a trailer! This is why there's a nationwide dealer network... We had the wife's Genesis Coupe trailered from Reno to PHX.

Yes on the T/H, and a great tranny, yes on the E/B, most will have E-locking rear end, maybe all new models, but not really needed with 4x4 IMO. Don't forget Fords great tow mirrors, and top rated IBC. If the seat doesn't fit, the above Cummins Aisin is a good choice too, with proven reliability.

I would personally be leery of the Powerstroke because it still uses the CP4 fuel pump. There's a reason GM dropped it and Cummins never used it in the first place. The new Super Duty looks like a fantastic truck otherwise, but in the HD diesel realm right now I'd be looking at Ram or GM.

I would second the idea of expanding your search radius. Getting the truck you want would be worth a plane ticket and a few tanks of fuel if you had to travel for it.

You can’t go wrong with any of them. If you can’t find the GM you want, get the Ford or Ram that has what you want. Reliability, capability, features differences between the three is nil.
GM dealer mad me mad 30 years ago and I bought a Ford. That’s all I have owned since and never regretted it a day.

My 2016 F350 has all the items you are looking for...I bought it off the lot so many may be ordered that way. The dealer should be able to tell you what is on it.

The F350 depends on the year of manufacture. Prior to mid 2011 avoid, after that they have the excellent Ford 6.7 L diesel engine, assuming you are looking at a diesel, which you should be.

Post 2011 1/2 they have engine braking(the newest models have an improved control system for engine braking-maybe 2015 models and newer), they use DEF, they have tow-haul mode. The truck might have the factory installed fifth wheel prep which is excellent. I am not aware if there is a separate gooseneck/fifth wheel prep but I suspect they are one and the same. This gives you a flat truck bed when the hitch is removed and make hitch install/removal a 5 minute process. Do NOT use a gooseneck hitch with your fiver, fivers are not made with that in mind and it can overload the frame ajnd void the warranty. We have hauled our 34 ft fiver all over the country, including up and down the western mountains multiple times, and generally you can hardy tell you are hauling a big fiver unless you look in the mirror.

The newest models added another hundred or so HP but the 2012 have plenty of power and torque. Go to your Ford dealer and test drive one.

Our 2016 F350 works extremely well with zero problems, as our previous 2012 did as well.

And it has everything you need for safely towing a heavy 5th wheel.

Have your GM dealer do a search within 200+ miles for a truck equipped like your order.

The Ford Super Duty with the 6.7 PSD are beasts. The engine is a proven design with no fewer or more problems than any of the big 3. The Puck system is great and so is the engine braking system. You won't go wrong with any of the 3 brands but don't be afraid of the Fords. I come from a GM family but I'm driving a F450 now to tow my fiver.
