We have a 2017 Keystone Avalanche 300RE. While in transit we lost one of our emergency exit windows. We have contacted Keystone and they don't think it is a warranty issue. Has anyone else lost one of these windows?

Interesting. I've never even read about this happening over 14 years of browsing various RV'ing forums that I can remember.Did you experience high winds while on the road? Was the window unlatched accidentally before travel? (This may be what the ins. co. is thinking).

We halfway lost one on our fiver last year. Just started to come off but I caught it before it did.

Yep, lost 2 of them in about 100,000 trailer miles.First one, not frameless, disappeared somewhere north of NO, LA. Thinking somebody did not latch it properly. Second one got cracked somewhere on the Washington DC beltway. No clue how that happened. More than a year later it still is not replaced.Look to see who the manufacturer is. Many builders use Kinro windows. Kinro does not ship to individuals. Bummer. Windows are not things that RV supply places stock. There are so many different sizes. I did find somebody on EBay in MI who had a selection of Kinro windows. Not mine unfortunately. Did not bookmark their site but the location is Adrian, MI & I recall that Adrian is in the name of the business. Do recall seeing some frameless windows listed as well.Good luck.Me, I am going to try & order one through a boatyard where I do my annual trailer refit every April. Change it myself.

I would ask them if it's an NTSB issue because if they aren't going to cover it, it will become one.

Wether or not it's under warranty, the mfr should be able to get a replacement for coach. If not, then a good local glass shop should. As for coming off in transit, sounds like it wasn't fully latched before departing

This IMHO is the best latching system for an escape window. Have this in rear of living area and bedroom. This window won't pop out UNLESS I forget to close it!

The window in our bedroom is an emergency hatch window, but it is also a crank open window, so yeah, we open that thing all the time.

I had a problem with the window on my last wilderness. was the bed room one. Did it least twice. never before or after on other RV's. I had to resort to putting a home made fix on the latching mechanism.
