Fuzion AC Design

Moderators: My apologies. Sort of a duplicate post but this appears to be primarily a Fuzion issue.

Went and look at a 401 yesterday. Didn't buy but we're still looking. But I noticed the two AC units were over the bedroom up front and over the garage. No AC unit directly over the living room. Seemed odd.

This morning, looking at my Fuzion brochure, there are three different pictures that I can see the AC units on the roof. All three have the AC units the same: over the bedroom and over the garage.

I'm assuming this is normal for Fuzions? How well will this keep the living room cool in the southern summers? Obviously, we can't open the direct vent to "quick cool" the living room with this kind of set-up.

Unfortunately it appears they discontinued the 401. We sure like ours.

My Fuzion 342 has the same set up. It does not get near as hot here in Idaho as it does in other places but the system works well. I sooo want that 401. Great floor plan. It will be my next trailer.

We have a 422 Fuzion with the A/C in the rear and front only. In the sites with zero shade and full sun in the 90's with high humidity, the camper will stay 78 in main living area and colder in front bedroom. I think we will have the windows tinted and help with the sun issue.
A third ac would likely be overkill as the two units do very well, unless you like arctic temps. The fantastic fan above my bunk could support a third unit if needed, not to sure about your model.

I have a 2014 Fuzion Impact with an ac in the bedroom and and in the garage. I have camped in 100+ weather and these kept the trailer at 75F. Both ac's are on the same duct system and I close off the vents on the units themselves during the day in extremely hot weather. That increased the air to the ducts in the living areas. I have no complaints with the Fuzion setup; it works well.

I seldom cool or heat the garage and know little about heat pumps. I close all the vents in the garage for the Ac directing air to the living area. It worked fine for the living are in 100 degree it will take some time to cool with 2 Ac. when I'm connected to 50 amps there is no problem cooling my 311 Impact fusion. Heat pump is multi purpose...You can use it for heat or as an AC (similar to a heat pump used on home sites, just looks like a AC on TH roof)) ...if temps fall below freezing, use the furnace..If warmer you can use the heat pump...Had two carrier heat pumps on my last 5er and it really worked out well. If it gets warm to hot, you have 3 AC's, if you need that many.

Maybe normal for the newer Fuzions, but our 2010 Fuzion 383 has one AC over the bedroom and one over the center living area.

With the duct system it has kept ours cool into the 90s. A plus is lack of noise in living area.

That's one reason I purchased the Jayco Seismic 4112...AC in the garage, ducted AC in the bed room and a heat pump , ducted in the living room. Went into camper to check things out about 3 weeks ago, it was in the upper 30's..fired up the heat pump and it steadily warmed up the TH. As long as some of these units are, they need 3 ac's.
