Gateway 3300ML

Am getting real close to purchasing a new 2014 Gateway 3300ML. This is a unit with a large rear kitchen and a mid living area. It also has a residential style refrigerator. I don't really need the household refrigerator, but it is there.

I am single and planing on doing semi full-time RVing, 3 or 4 months at a time. Can't justify the cost of a Mobile Suites, but think the Gateway will do fine.

Does anyone have anything negative to say about this particular model?
I have for the most part heard good things about Heartland, but don't know much about the Gateway.

Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,
George
  • Gateway looks like a good value within it's price point. Excellent insulation and nice features. Nobody will beat Heartland factory customer service. It's still the best..

    B.O.
  • Don't really know anything about the Gateway model. Heard good things about other Heartland models though.

If I was doing any amount of traveling I would not purchase a new fiver without the 6 point leveling system. We didn't have it on our first fiver and I didn't think it was a big deal. We could get completely set up in anywhere from 10 minutes to 25 minutes depending on how uneven the site was.

New fiver came with level up. Now it doesn't matter what the site looks like. We can be set up in 5 minutes!

That may not sound like that big of a deal, but when you have been on the road all day and it is 110 degrees out, it is pretty nice to simply push a button and sip your beer while the trailer levels itself.
  • I've been looking at the Gateway bunkhouse model and they seem really nice. They seem to be midway down the Hearand lineup. I really like the 6 point level up and that's not an option on that unit, might be able to order it with that option??

Overall I believe the Gateway line is pretty well built and I'm still very interested, good luck to you.
