Great older fifth wheels

I have a 2007 sunnybrook titan bought it brand new in 2007...I still love it and reading this forum everyday about the quality of the new trailers it makes mad and very sad that this is happing... but who out there has a trailer that they have had for many years and will not sell it......I love my sunnybrook they were a great company the quality of the trailer is still holding up.... so who else still has there high quality trailer......I miss the days of good quality of anything.... can't wait for spring

Really loved our "08" KZ Montego Bay

Didn't want to get rid of it, but wanted/needed some of the easier things in life like auto leveling and electric awnings... It was a hard fiver to get rid of...

Dealer told me it went within 1 week..

I keep looking at newer FW's, but my little 2013 Jayco HT 26.5RLS has been to Alaska, YS, Black HIlls, and many other states. I've camped in 15 degree weather with no problems too.
I just laugh when I see post that say the HT line of FW's are only good for nearby weekend trips.
I would love to get a newer, and a little bigger unit, but will keep what I have for now.

still have my 2001 sunny brook. it is only a 25 foot unit, need a bit larger to retire in. but knock on wood and everything else, i have not had any real problems with it in all these years.

94 Travel Aire and still just like the day it was built, 265 model and has made a few trips up the Alcan and Demster.
98 Mountain Aire 34' 210 Cummins Puller and 2001 dodge dully with all the toy's, 400 + hp pullin a 2001 32.5' Okanogan 5th wheel, new to us after 5 yrs with the 28' Travel Aire. Lots of fun.

We have a 2003 Nash 215R fifth wheel. It is only 23', no slides. We love that we can go pretty much anywhere in it. When our roof developed a leak, we looked for something similar, but even the "small ones" are 5' bigger than ours, so we ended up replacing the roof and are still happy 🙂

We love our 2003 Alfa Gold 38' fiver that we bought new in October 2003 and have fulltimed in it since then. Darn if I see anything out there on stealership lots I'd trade for, nor interested in.

I wouldn't get rid of my 07' Cedar Creek Daydreamer for anything out there!! However,,,,, It's not that it was the best fiver ever produced, it's been back to the factory twice, once to re-apply the clear-coat that flaked off like leaves from a maple the a second time to re-build the forward deck that was flexing like a gull's wing! Now mind you both those failures were due to out-side contractors/suppliers that produced sub-standard quality(especially Lippert)and in CC's defense they handled the repairs terrifically for us at no charge (but from now on the level of after-the-sale customer service will no longer be there and it'll be the dealership that will handle that from now on,, yay)! In addition due to a lightning strike a few years ago almost everything electric had to be replaced (watch out for those "cheapo fillipo" surge protectors guyz) so as of now that fiver' still draws attention from passers by, the level of craftsmanship in the interior is still better than I've seen elsewhere and the layout has been perfect for me and Frau Blücher over the last 11+ years of full-timing/snow-birding, tows like a dream (thanks to the trailair and center-point air ride system that yes I've had to rebuild already no thanks to Lippert's idea of quality control)and partly due to CC's built-in quality and me doing everything else I can't see any reason to buy a new fiver! it's funny but back in my sailing dayz I met George Hinterholler who owned Niagara Yachts who told me that his own used boats were his worst competition,,, I wonder if he told the rv manufactures that as it would explain a lot of the lousy quality I've seen out there,,,,,

We still have and use our 2010 Montana 3750FL at least once per month. In addition to only regular maintenance I replaced the rear window rubber molding around the rear bedroom window.

I'm happy to hear that others are hanging on to their older FWs. Ours will be paid off in full this May, '19 (6 years earlier than the loan!), and we intend to keep it.

Had a 2002 Titanium for 12 years. Really liked it but it only had one slide, we wanted more room and they quit building them in 2010 I think. Real hardwood floor.

We would have to spend an awful lot of money to buy a fiver that I would prefer over our 2008 Citation.

We have one of the last of the breed, a 2007 Alpenlite 34RLR. The best Alpenlites IMO were the 2000-2005 series. 2006-end are Lippert frames but we would not trade ours. It has survived 3 Alaskan trips & has over 100,000 miles on it.

Just bought my 2000 Thor wanderer 5th wheel from the original owner. Totally happy with it and no intent to buy a newer toy hauler with what they cost.
