Hideout?
Hideout overall? I would add more to it, but I'm looking for any experience with the hideout products.

Sorry...but is a 'hideout' a 5th wheel?

I bought one in January and so far it's been almost completely trouble free. I had to have it because my wife had to have the floor plan of a certain unit. I was skeptical due to it being Keystone's entry level unit. I've been overall impressed with the quality and setup of it. Of course, it's no custom home with hardwood cabinets but is nice enough and a great value for the money IMO.
RVs (of any brand) at this price point are just such a roll of the dice. Any internet research will undoubtedly turn up horror stories but do keep in mind you are about 500X more likely to read of problems than happy consumers.
Considering I'm only 6 months in I can't give much of a longevity report but I'm certainly happy with my purchase so far.
A note on pricing - I got out paying 32K for an MSRP of 47K 5th. Granted, it was January and the dealer was super hungry but I just wanted to throw it out there if you are shopping.

That's good to hear, I guess I should have said I'm looking at a fifth wheel. We are looking at the 308bhds found it locally for 31k. I build custom homes so honestly all campers are junk lol. But it's a camper and not a house, and as a builder over all it looks to be built sound, and I do see what they do to lower the price vs other 5ers.

Too funny.... that's my model as well. Once the wife saw the half bathroom off the bedroom it was over. She initially had a bedroom slide on the "must have" list so I passed over this one without even showing it to her. I was actually on a lot to measure out a TT of a certain length for comparing to my old one and the 308 was parked next to it. The rear bunk room is what I really liked. You can almost forget you have kids for short periods :) :)
I can also agree about the quality thing versus houses. I've been doing Home Inspections for over 15 years and know residential construction inside and out. For how little these things cost and the materials used I'm amazed every time I get somewhere that the walls haven't rattled apart. People who buy these things and complain about loose hinges make me laugh. I'm just happy if the cabinets stay stuck to the walls!
IMO RVs at this price point are great for weekend warriors but would never hold up to any extended use. Someday when I'm working less and traveling more I'll be looking at one of the much higher end brands.
From my research the best I could come up with is that the bones of all the Keystone trailers are pretty much the same and it's just the finishes that get upgraded on higher models. So, same roof, siding, framing, electrical, plumbing, slide mechanisms, etc. Just cheaper finishes and less bells and whistles. It reminds me of cars now days.... Even the lowest model has power windows, A/C, nice radios, etc. When we were kids those were totally luxury items. A friend's kid asked the other day what people mean when they say roll the windows up and down? He'd never seen anything but a power window!!
