How private are those bathroom/bedroom slides?

I assume your concern isn't so much of folks hearing you from outside the camper as it is folks in the other room hearing or seeing you inside the camper.

We travel with my in-laws quite frequently and they stay with us. These slides/doors were a very large concern for us with my mother-in-law and actually ended up putting quite a few campers on our "no" list. Some close up nicely, some are quite gapped.

It depends on the model. Good luck asking the dealer- they'll think you have 2 heads for asking the question and won't understand what you want them to test out. You have to go play with the specific units and see how they close in person.

It doesnt matter what is going on in there. The neighbors are going to hear ya anyway. One of our last trips this year our neighbors were wild fornicators. At first you could hear what sounded like the awning flapping in the wind, but it was dead calm. A couple minutes later we figured out that it was the trailer rocking when we could hear a very loud female voice moaning. I would rather someone hear me taking a dump.

Bathroom rule #1 in our house, and in our trailer: No one comments or pays any attention to any noise coming from the bathroom. It is a "comment free zone". No apology needed or expected upon leaving the room. No bathroom is so private that any sound made is inaudible outside.

The pocket door in our Titanium closes into a "notch" in the face of the slide wardrobe/linen closet. As tight as a pocket door at home.

On the other hand, it has been closed maybe twice in the last 4 years. When we had the combination of a guest in the bathroom and someone in the bedroom at the same time. Not a common situation.

So we went in and closed the door and when back out. The water closet door had over a 2" gap at the bottom and we laughed and said "Mary is wearing red panties today"! Chris

You would want that gap if you were running the bathroom fan and flushed. You would suck the fumes out of the black tank, it would not be pleasant.

Run the fan, it cuts down on the extra sounds, and if that doesn't work, sing!!!! That will work or at least drive the listeners away to a distance out of ear shot

I may just be an old curmudgeon, but RV's are not houses. Not as big or as well insulated.

You are bound to hear some sounds of "nature."

If you take offense, that is your hang up and your problem, not mine for producing the sound.

A bigger concern should be a very good fan in the bath.Noise is one thing odour is the worst.

Believe it or not, I managed to get through an entire Navy career. Guess I've grown a little more modest as my innards make more noises than they used to. :) I'm sure I'm over reacting on this.

I'm not THAT close to buying yet, so haven't taken the time to visit a dealer. Still just gathering data and opinions.
