- Scott_85ExplorerI don't think that my wife helping was much help when I was trying to move it, guess the weight is one of the reasons I'm trying to get rid of it.
- fprestoExplorerWhen you pull the handle in the fender well is it releasing? Are you turning it to the 8 o'clock position to hold it open? Are you backing off the vertical bolt and the U bolts before you pull the release in the fender well. A properly installed hitch will not release with the bolts still torqued.
- Scott_85ExplorerI've removed the coupler and darn near had the one bolt removed that you tighten to 80ft/lbs and she still will not move.
- rrwantrExplorerYou need to remove the saddle lock pins, grab the saddle handles and lift to remove the coupler from the pivot arms. Then to remove the slider base, loosen the draw down bolt, then do the turnoverball latch.
- katysdadExplorerOn the regular companion you have to loosen the 2 U bolts that hold the square shank in the base, then back off the bolt that goes in to the top of the shank. This procedure in reverse when reinstalling, Tighten top bolt to 45 ft/lbs. This is what holds hitch tight to bed floor.
