Specifically, the Furrion 381556-FOS48TAPK-BL Wireless High Speed RV Observation System on my 2018 Arctic Fox 27-5L.Picture from the truck has 4 bars and very clear picture. Really like the ability to have range markers. Well worth the price and adds that extra sense of knowing where you are going when backing up.Installation was very straight forward on my 2018 27-5L. The trailer wiring thankfully was color coded.

I have it on my Truck camper on the back and it's a nice unit. Very clear, color is good to excellent and the optics (image)is excellent too.The downsides are 3. One is up front cost and the second is viewable screen size and the 3rd is the suction cup mount for the view screen. It allows the screen to wobble and it breaks easily and no replacement is available from Furrion. I broke mine almost immediately (It's very flimsy) and had to cabbage up a new mount, using their screen carrier, from a shower door suction hanger. Actually, my mount is much sturdier than theirs.Mine was a Christmas gift from my wife, last Christmas.Overall, a good value but up front cost is pretty high all the same.Mine has fantastic range. I can have the TC off the truck, have the truck parked 100 feet away from the TC with the unit(s) on and the receiver picks up the signal and I have an excellent picture.I'm happy (other than the flimsy mount and no replacement parts).

I can change out a wall plug, and that's about it. The instruction book was well laid out. Picture is great! I installed it 5 inches below the running lights. Instructions say minimum of 2 inches. Range marker are really handy. After install, I measured from the back of the trailer to object directly behind the trailer, my fence. Seven feet away. On the range markers on the monitor, it was the last red lines, before yellow, so, I will always know how much distance I have from the trailer to any objects. Especially handy when backing the trailer onto the RV pad along the house and the chain link fence on the other side.

That was an option when we ordered our North Point in Janaury. We love it.

Dan and Patty. I had a black and white system on my 07 Holiday Rambler motor home. While the side cameras were nice to have, it did not have range markers, and was kind of finicky.The Furrion has good color and being wireless, I was concerned about distance. As it turns out, I have 4 out of 4 bars showing signal strength. Sound does not do anything for me. My lovely wife, Lori provides the needed assistance of back-up director and gives good instructions, but, there is something to be said for being able to see for yourself.

Are your transmitter and receiver antenna's the same? I've found that the position of the antenna's need to be the same, that is, if the transmitting antenna is horizontal, the receiver antenna needs to be in the same plane. Same with vertical alignment. Make sure the transmitter antenna is tight and has a bit of di-electric grease on the threads.

Liked it so much I did the same thing to both my farm tractors but used a Flea Bay multi cam purchase. I run 3 cams on each tractor. One facing back,and one facing toward each side so I can watch my implements without turning around.

IMO, the Furrion unit is priced a bit steep but I really like the outside mount. Looks sharp and the cam is easily adjustable in it. Resolution and color is perfect and it has excellent nigh vision too.

i installed the system last month. bought it off amazon. we bought the TT last summer and it came with mounting bracket and prewired to the running lights. so far i like it. at first i thought screen was too small but now i like it. mounts to windshield with suction cup. that works well. our TT is 33ft long. zero issues with signal. hasn't dropped yet. it does help with backing in tight spots. works better than my wife giving hand signals for sure.

only issue i had was the factory wired to the TT running lights reverse polarity. they had green wire to hot, white to ground. after i connected the camera for power i got no power. quick check with volt meter showed me the mistake. par for the course from rv assembly lines. other than that it was simple install.

Our new fifth wheel came pre-wired for the furrion. I ordered the above system. I never would have ordered it if my camper wasn't pre-wired, but I thought why not try it? Install and set up was simple. I can watch my bikes on the bike rack going down the highway. Can see cars behind me easily on the highway. As far as using it for backing up, I don't find it very useful. I do just as well or better with the mirrors alone (and wife). With the mirrors and screen to watch, I find myself correcting or adjusting more than usual. I've only used it for backing up 3 times now. I also don't like the extra "object" in the cab of the truck to deal with. The included mounting bracket is useless. I stick the monitor in a cup holder where unfortunately it takes up space. If it came included with the camper, I probably wouldn't even use it. But because I bought and installed it, I feel obligated to use it for some reason. I did tow a fiver for 14 years prior to getting this, so maybe that's why I don't feel the NEED for it?

I have a 2018 GD Reflection and they only come with a camera mount. Take closer look and is just a plate held on with 4 screws. When you take the cover there well be a cable behind it to plug into the camera.

Mine works when I turn on my park lights. I have no problem as it doesn't bother any problem with this amount of light on the rear just help light for the camera when backing.

I'm not fond of 'tied to the running lights' at all. I use mine without the lights on when backing into a spot or going down the highway (to keep tabs on the quads on the trailer and approaching from the rear, traffic.

I power mine with an always hot but switched electrical source. Added a rocker switch in the camper to control it.

When the unit is on, there will be a red (or blue) LED that illuminates on the cam mount.
