Just about ready to head out!

So, this Thursday we're heading out. All the prep is over, truck is serviced and fiver is packed. Heading from Vancouver Island to Toronto, Ont. Catching the ferry from Sidney BC to Anacortes WA then south to Seattle and east on the I90. Hope to see some of you on the road, in the campgrounds or the Flying J's fueling up. Looking forward to seeing the northern states until we cut south at WY into SD and across Iowa. Figure I'd avoid Chicago and the toll roads. Hope it's the right plan.

    Thanks all. dennyida, we'll check out that Park, thanks. And azdryheat, good suggestion, but compared with fuel prices up here, even the truck stops are a bargain.

    Next big trip add an in-bed fuel tank and you can avoid the higher priced truck stops. Now I never have to get fuel with the trailer attached. My extra tank allows me well over 1,000 miles between fill-ups. Worth a try.

    Hi Rygar, We hope you have a safe trip and enjoy this beautiful country. If you are thinking about stopping in eastern Iowa for a stay look at West lake park just outside of Davenport Iowa. It`s a beautiful clean park with all hookups and with a lot of things to do around the area. It`s just right off of interstate 80 on interstate 280. Have fun and be safe !!!

    Anytime you avoid the Chicago traffic, it's the right plan. :)
