I use a BAL bipod stabilizer for just over 100 bucks online.

However a pin stabilizer can only stop side to side movement at the front of the trailer.
For side to side/up and down motion at the back of the trailer I use the BAL telescoping stabilizer.

I use adjustable chocks to eliminate fore and aft movement. I'm rock solid as I require.

The products mentioned go at the front and rear of the trailer and accomplish the same thing.

To the OP, I have a 5000# capacity UltraFab kingpin stabilizer 19-950001 (Amazon $120) and extensions 19-950002. I got it to support the front end of my camper so I could put cribbing under the landing legs. Haven't used it camping yet but plan to soon.

Since the advent of JT strong arms and similar devices king pin tripods have become obsolete

Go with the jt strong arms, we like ours and not much movement, which is a good thing when someone like me suffers from motion sickness.

I am one of the few that like the tripod. I was lucky enough to have a friend give me his when he traded his 5'er. He also gave me a Wayne's Stabilizer for the rear. Mine is rock solid now. I cannot argue that the JT's and the like are much easier and do a great job, but I will state that my set up is also solid.

JT'S For sure. We love ours. King pin jacks get in the way and don't stop the shaking.

Put a notice up on a campground bulletin board. Bet you can get one for free. Seems a lot of the people that say they like them don't want to admit they wasted their money on one.

We had the tripod and gave it away after I installed the JT Strongarms. It's too big, too bulky, too heavy, and it doesn't work very well. Save the money and go straight to the stabilizers.

I have a slightly used one that I will give to you for free ... Since I installed my JT's , have not needed it...PM me if interested
