Our 32' 5th wheel trailer won't go in several of our favorite campgrounds that our previous 26 footer had no problems.
Which ones ?
These parks that you can't use, do they disallow you from registering or can you not physically fit down the roads or into the campsites ? - JIMNLINExplorer IIIX2.

If you're into the manicured RV parks, I think those are designed for larger rigs. But if you like the State Parks etc., then you will be limited on size. We downsized from 38' to 34' mainly to be able to fit into more places out here in the Rockies. I still want to get a truck camper or smaller travel trailer to fit into even more.
- CampinfanExplorer IIIWe went from 37' to 41'---the 4 feet has been an issue at times due to the swing when making a turn. I love our rig but would rather have the 37' when trying to get through some of these parks. The newer parks are better but the older ones were not made for bigger rigs.

36 that was 38' not too much trouble, now 39 that's almost 42' for sure you are limited!!! - ACZLExplorer

I have been in a 42' fifth wheel since 2015, and a 40' since 2007 and not had an issue.. I just look ahead of time to make sure we can/will fit.

- valhalla360NavigatorI think the cut off where you start losing access is around 25-30ft...that's where older public parks often peak in terms of what sites can accommodate.
Most parks that can accommodate 37ft can probably accommodate 42ft. - stickdogExplorer

Good more 37 ft sites for me.;) - LwiddisExplorer IIYour current 5er already locks you out of many state parks and some National Parks. I don’t think a new 42 will make much difference. “Home” is your base?
