macerator pump for black water discharge

replying to my own question - should-of googled this first. I see the floJet rv waste pump kit will do exactly what we want. is there anyone out there with experience using this?

You could build your own Macerator Pump.

Just giving you an option. :)

I have the portable Flojet Kit.
For past 7 yrs. I used it every year when at sisters house in FL .
Clean out is over 100' away with a 2' rise
Works great

The various macerators seem to work fine (I dont have one). But just because you have a 2" waste line doesn't mean you have to macerate. Your RV will drain fine into a 2" line. Just make up an adapter with fittings from the home center. Might drain just a little slower.

If you need to go a long distance, or uphill, then look at things like the Flojet.

Not good advice. You could very easily plug up the 2" drain.

Unlikely in my opinion. But if I was worried about it, I would design a clean-out into my adapter. Not really a big deal. I've never seen a turd that would pass through 2" plumbing.

Yep - why risk *more* work clearing the 2" when Flojet is an inexpensive option..;)
Of course, "inexpensive" is in the wallet of the beholder, LOL!

Flojet for RVs works great - and boaters have been using Macerators for years.
(Flojet mfgs those also).

Easily changes part of the old adage of the two things you need to know to be a plumber!
("Stuff" *will* run uphill)..:W

I really like the flexibility that using a macerator gives us. Being able to pump into a sewer cleanout or other drain that you are not right next to is very handy at times.

Bpounds... Mostly concerned about short bends designed into grey water systems and paper products that are not able to be accommodated by a two inch pipe.

You will not plug up a 2" line with the macerator pump, everything is finely ground up. I have had for the last 3 or 4 years and use the Flojet portable macerator pump and it works great and will do exactly what you need. :)
