New Jayco Eagle 321RSTS

I'm looking at ordering a new one.
RV Express $42761.00 pick up in Indiana
RV Direct $43065.00 pick up in Orlando
Local dealer $50000.00

Come on $7000.00 does the factory change different prices to different dealers?

Jayco website has MSRP at $63749.00
  • I have no proof, but one dealer who killed Rv directs price (that's my only proof) told me the manufacturer gives them a discount based on how many units they pre order.
When I told rvdirect of the price difference, they told me they were at their lowest price and they (rvdirect) should be buying off the other dealer I was dealing with.
  • That price differential is pretty typical in comparing the high volume/low margin dealers against local dealers. We saved tens of thousands of dollars by purchasing this Mobile Suites at RVs for Less in Knoxville, TN versus a Texas dealer who shall remain nameless.... Certainly enough to pay us to drive from the Houston area to Knoxville to pick it up, especially since we had a vacation planned in the Great Smoky Mountains anyway.

As far as dealer pricing, I don't know if the high volume dealers get a deeper volume discount from the manufacturers than the local dealers or not.

One thing to consider is the availability of service. It's a non-issue for us because I deal with the minor issues myself, getting parts directly from DRV as required. If anything should arise that I can't handle during the warranty period, DRV is good about authorizing service at independent RV repair facilities who, unlike most dealers, live and die by the quality of service they provide.

  • And by the way, you are very close to the price I was quoted from the other dealer on my 2016 North Point
  • I saved well over 5k by going with RV direct in 09. Easy to deal with and gave me as much or more for my trade than I could have sold it for. No hassle and very easy to deal with. Highly recommend.
  • Yes, some dealers may get lower prices than others depending on volume. And the further away from Indiana you get, the higher the local price will be (delivery charges).
  • My buying experience is that high volume dealers do get higher discounts and therefore have the ability to sell at lower prices. But the discounts are volume based by manufacturer and brand. So, for example, a very high volume Keystone Montana dealer won't have the best discount on a Keystone Cougar. And when delivery costs are excluded, a dealer near the factory may not be able to beat a dealer that is 1000 miles away from the factory.
  • Bought my 2015 321RSTS from Terry town Rv in Grand Rapids, MI in August for just $42000. Love it.
