New York State to Canada?

Hey All,

Thinking about checking out some of southeastern Canada, north of NY State. Do any of you have any suggestions for parks/areas to visit? Is it as simple as driving to the border with passports in hand and camper in tow? Are there special travel guidelines for RV's such as appointments for RV inspections or odd restrictions like no traveling with fruits/vegetables or full propane tanks?

Thanks!
  • Go here for information regarding crossing into Canada:

Definitely do not bring guns, it is a major offence and you could find yourself much poorer.

There are many things to do here in southeastern Ontario, what kind of activities interest you? I live in the area and could point you to some interesting places and things to do if you make your preferences known.

A good resource is Ontario Travel:

  • Don't bring food same as when we cross into the US. Passports a must. Yes no firearms . Most provincial parks will be booked by now. Plan ahead even koa gets full up here.
  • Best thing to do is check with the Boarder Patrol on both sides, US & CA, to get information directly from the government sites!

Definitely NO GUNS into Canada! And NO HEMP PRODUCTS from Canada where it is leagl.
